Acknowledgement of Country

The Tea Tree Gully District Cricket Club recognises that we meet, train and play cricket on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains. We recognise and respect their cultural heritage, beliefs and relationship with the land of their Ancestors. We acknowledge the Kaurna people living today as the custodians and caretakers of the land and pay our respect to their elders, both past and present.

City of Tea Tree Gully

The Tea Tree Gully District Cricket Club acknowledges and thanks the City of Tea Tree Gully for their ongoing support to the club, it’s members and the cricket community.

In particular, TTGDCC thank the council staff – Chloe Oborn – Recreation Planning & Facility Coordinator who is our principal point of contact with Council, Martin Zunic – Building Assets Officer – who coordinated the recent facility upgrades, and the Irrigation and Oval maintenance teams who ensure we have suitable grounds on which to play. Without their efforts and assistance, it would be near impossible to successfully run the Premier Cricket program in the Tea Tree Gully area.

In addition, Council CEO John Moyle, the Council events coordinators, and the Council grants staff who have provided fantastic support to the club.

We also thank the elected members for their ongoing support – in particular, Councillor Lucas Jones who has always been a strong supporter of Cricket and Football at Pertaringa – but also the rest of the elected members for their support to assisting with the commitment of funding of major upgrades to grounds and facilities, as well as the ongoing support provided by Council to maintain and improve the facilities, not just for Cricket, but for all sports in the Pertaringa sporting precinct and for TTG residents throughout the whole council area.

South Australian Government

As a sporting body within South Australia, TTGDCC is grateful to the South Australian Government, and the Department of Recreation and Sport for their assistance with the funding of major improvements and upgrades to the facilities at Pertaringa, and the whole sporting precinct, not just in support of Cricket, but Football, Athletics, Tennis and sport in general in the Tea Tree Gully area.

We thank the local State Member of parliament, Richard Harvey MP – Member for Newland – for his ongoing support.

Australian Government

Funding has also been provided by the Federal Government, through the Stronger Communities Grant Program in support of various major and minor works programs, and we thank the local Federal member – Tony Zappia MP – Member of Makin – for his ongoing support.
